This ceramic portrait series is a development of the theme I started to explore in March 2020; How is the Weather in Your Head. Each ceramic sculpture is informed by my daily drawings on the London Underground. On the rear of each sculpture are my thoughts, allowing me to pay attention to both our external and internal worlds. Through this series of hand built ceramic portraits, I aim to express the ideas of presence, participation and connection. I seek to immerse the viewer in our shared experience of navigating both our interior and exterior landscapes. Each piece invites reflection on how our surroundings shape our emotions and thoughts creating a dialogue that resonates on a personal level.  By incorporating elements from my thoughts, I hope to foster a sense of intimacy and connection encouraging viewers to engage and explore their own experiences through a journey of contemplation and connection.
