This ceramic portrait series is a development of the theme I started to explore in March 2020; How is the weather in your head. My ceramic sculptures are informed by my daily drawings on the London Underground and my visual thoughts, allowing me to pay attention to both our external and internal worlds. Through this series of hand built ceramic portraits, I aim to express the ideas of presence, participation and connection. I seek to immerse the viewer in our shared experience of navigating both our interior and exterior landscapes. Each piece invites reflection on how our surroundings shape our emotions and thoughts creating a dialogue that resonates on a personal level. By incorporating elements from my visual thoughts, I hope to foster a sense of intimacy and connection encouraging viewers to engage and explore their own experiences, a journey of contemplation and connection.
